VERTEX TUNING
STAGE 1 REMAPPING
Stage 1 involves a tailored update to your vehicle’s engine management system (ECU). During this phase, we customize various engine settings, such as ignition, boost, fueling and injection, while ensuring they stay within the manufacturer’s recommended limits for the engine and transmission. In essence, Stage 1 offers you dependable performance and a smoother driving experience.
STAGE 2 REMAPPING
For those seeking a step beyond Stage 1, we offer Stage 2. This stage focuses on optimizing various engine components to boost its efficiency, mainly centering around air intake and exhaust. Many stock air-intake systems can restrict airflow due to their designs aimed at reducing engine noise. By introducing a sporty air filter or a specialized air intake, we can enhance the engine’s airflow and achieve a noticeable power increase. In Stage 2, as we approach the manufacturer’s specified limits for the engine and transmission, there might be a need to reinforce certain components, such as the clutch.
STAGE 3 REMAPPING
Stage 3 takes things up another notch. In this phase, we might replace or upgrade essential engine components or the turbocharger. This could range from expanding the cylinder capacity and introducing sportier camshafts to installing a more substantial turbocharger. While enhancing performance, there can occasionally be risks to the engine’s reliability, but it’s not a given. Often, manufacturers use a single base engine design and then augment performance with larger turbos and injectors, producing different power variants. It’s worth noting that, in some scenarios, upgrading your engine using original parts from a more potent version can enhance performance without compromising reliability.
